A Karoke Machine Will Liven Up Any Party
It doesn’t matter if you buy a karaoke machine or rent one, just having a karaoke player available at a party can make the difference between a party everyone enjoys and a party where guests can’t get to the door fast enough. They have come a long way; they used to be nothing more with than a boom box with a tape player and tiny monitor for the lyrics. Many karaoke players are now high-tech and they come with sound backing, multiple outputs, and sound quality enhancements. Want your party to be a hit; here are a few ways to get your hands on a machine:
1. Rent a Unit
If you only want Karaoke for a night, renting a Karaoke outfit from a party rental company can be a great option. With a party rental, you get a package that sometimes includes lights, a professional PA, good microphones, not to mention the widest selection of music. The more songs you get, the better party you will have because there is music to fit every guests’ tastes.
2. Buy
As previously stated, karaoke machines are different today; you can get a machine that plays special CDs with matching lyrics on your television screen. The cost of a Karaoke machine and CD's is not too expensive but building a song collection can be an investment. As for the players themselves, their cost will depends on the vocal effects, number of video outputs, inputs, and other factors. Some of the new karaoke systemse will play files either burned off the computer or through a built in USB port hooked up to a portable storage device such as a flash driver or portable hard drive all from special websites that provide Karaoke songs for people to use. Most standard players are sold with a pair of low-end microphones although they are compatible with better microphones; in fact, it may be worth the investment to upgrade if you are serious about karaoke or want to host multiple parties. Better microphones will also be more durable in the long run.
3. Buy a Modern Game System
The hot game systems that are out now, including the Wii, PlayStation 3 and X-box 360 all have games that are essentially Karaoke. Because these games typically come bundled with a microphone, they are very affordable in costs, especially if you already own the console. There are however a few downsides, like the limited selection of songs. On top of this, the microphones are of poor quality and are not all that durable. They must be replaced with other microphones designed for the game system and the selection is limited. Although a modern gaming console with a karaoke game is ideal for the occasional karaoke party, it isn’t best for regular or frequent parties.
