It is not surprising that someone has created a balloon boy costume just in time for Halloween.  If you want extra candy at every door, be sure to get your balloon boy costume now.

The costume idea is the result of two parents in Colorado pretending that their 6-year old boy sailed off accidentally in a home-made hot air balloon.  The cops, air patrol, and even the FCC were notified in attempt to save the young one, and of course, the press came along and eventually made this into a national story.

Unknown at the time, the boy was hiding in the attic the entire time.  This hoax was a setup by the parents Richard and Mayumi Heene to get some national exposure for their reality TV hopes.  Richard and Mayumi had met in acting school in Hollywood, and recently appeared on the Wife Swap show on TLC.  Everything would have worked great except for this line that the 6-year old uttered on CNN during a live interview: “You guys said we did this for the show.”

Now the parents are under investigation, charges have been filed, and they will probably spend some time in jail.  And instead of the parents profiting from their nation-wide stunt, other companies are making money from their stupidity.

When one thinks of Halloween, they think that only little boys and girls and teenage ones are the ones that can enjoy Halloween while Mom and Dad are just at home preparing for something like some delicious and sumptuous Halloween dinner and waiting for the tykes to get back but that is not so. If they can find a pirate costume for Halloween for Dad or for Mom, a sexy pirate costume, for example, they might be even the first ones to get out of the house and not only enjoy trick or treating but they will also enjoy going to a Halloween dance party till dawn. Yes, that’s right. Halloween is for Moms and Dads, too, yes sir, and they might even dance themselves to death in a horror Halloween dancing night.

I got my parents surprised on last year’s Halloween when we came to visit them and then, gave each of them some Halloween costumes. Me and my wife were trying to convince them that they are not too old to do trick or treating or go to a local community Halloween ballroom dancing. So, what I got is a pirate captain costume for Dad and for Mom, a sexy buccaneer Halloween costume. At first, we had a hard time convincing them to go out. So, you are thinking about letting the kids enjoy more Halloween fun this year, eh? Well, instead of buying for them some scary Halloween costumes, why not go for super hero costumes instead? For sure, they would like to dress up like their own heroes and will be more than elated to go walking up and down the streets in your community dressed up like Batman or Superman. A couple years ago a some great jack-o-lantern carvings showed up on the world wide web. A finely carved pumpkin but nothing too had to do. Two eyes, a nose, and a wide, gaping mouth that was in most ways unextraordinary.

What made this the best pumpkin carving was that whoever did it took the scooped out innards of the pumpkin and arranged them in a way that made it seem that the jack-o-lantern was caught in mid-vomit. Some times too much punch from a holiday party can make one feel this way. Every time I see this image in my head I have to laugh out loud.

Another of the best pumpkin carving ideas I can remember is in the same vein. Cut your jack-o-lantern with a scary looking face. Give him narrow, angry eyes and a gaping maw with sharp fangs. When done correctly, you add a bit of malicious delight to All Hallow's Eve.

However, the thief stalled his death by tempting the Devil with a chance to bedevil the church-going villagers chasing him. Jack told the Devil to turn into a coin with which he would pay for the stolen goods (the Devil could take on any shape he wanted); later, when the coin/Devil disappeared, the Christian villagers would fight over who had stolen it. The devil was trapped and his powers gone, once the wallet with the cross inside, closed. In both myths, Jack only lets the Devil go when he agrees never to take his soul. After a while the thief died, as all living things do. Of course, his life had been too sinful for Jack to go to heaven; however, the Devil had promised not to take his soul, and so he was barred from hell as well. Jack now had no home, nowhere to go. He asked how he would see where to go, as he had no light, and the Devil mockingly tossed him an ember that would never burn out from the flames of hell. The burning ember was placed in a large turnip Jack carved out. He then wandered the Earth looking for a final resting place. From then on he was known as Jack-o'-Lantern - Jack of the Lantern.

Star Wars, in my opinion, is one of the greatest sci-fi epic movie that has been created. Every single bit of it from the story itself, to the cinematography, the fictional Star Wars universe, which I think exists, the lovely scenarios of every planet in the galaxy and of course, the scary and the lovely characters that no Star Wars fans can forget. You have Princess Amidala, Princess Leia, Luke Sykwalker, Anakin Skywalker who later turned into a Sith Lord, the most evil of all villains that have walked the silver screen, the robots and the other characters. If you get to thinking, if you are a Star Wars fan, for sure, you would really wish that you can be any of the characters in the movie including Yoda or Sebulba or that funny Jar-Jar even just for one night- a scary yet fun-filled Halloween night and you wish you can come across some Star Wars costumes.

I, myself, would really want to wear any kind of costume of Star Wars and specifically, I would love to wear that Darth Vader mask and cape and all and wield a light-saber and fool people with a Jedi mind trick. I always love Darth Vader and if I can find a Darth Vader Star Wars costume before the Halloween begins, I would be more than happy to escape the clutches of the Dark Side of The Force.

But that won’t be a worry for me because late last week, my wife have come across a site that has the best Star Wars Halloween costumes that anyone can find. So, I got to check out the site and I really loved what I saw and the only thing left for me to do is to get myself a Darth Vader costume and what about the family? Of course, I would love to surprise them by buying them their own Star Wars costume. My boy can be Yoda and my little girl could be a cute Princess Amidala.
